Go Confess Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 21, 2026

Last Updated: September 21, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of GoConfess.lol, any Go Confess mobile application, and the related Go Confess services (collectively, “Go Confess,” the “Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Go Confess is operated by 1048035 B.C. LTD., with its registered office at Office #645, 145 1/2 Church Street, Unit 5, Toronto, Ontario, M5B 1Y4, Canada.

By accessing or using Go Confess, creating an account, submitting content, casting a judgment, purchasing a bribe, or otherwise participating in the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Go Confess.

1. WHAT GO CONFESS IS

Go Confess is an entertainment service where adults submit brief confessions about harmless, everyday failures and strangers on the Internet may judge them.

Go Confess is designed for minor, ridiculous, relatable failures. It is not intended for serious disclosures.

Go Confess is not:

  • therapy, counseling, medical care, or crisis support;
  • legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice;
  • a confidential or anonymous secrets service;
  • a law-enforcement or crime-reporting service; or
  • a place to disclose serious crime, abuse, violence, threats, self-harm, exploitation, trauma, or immediate danger.

Community judgments, reactions, titles, Penance Orders, verdicts, and similar features are part of an entertainment experience. They are not professional assessments of your character, morality, legal responsibility, health, or wellbeing.

2. WHO MAY USE GO CONFESS

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or participate in Go Confess.

You may use the Service only where doing so is lawful and where the Service and its applicable providers are available.

You may not use Go Confess if applicable law prohibits you from receiving or using the Service.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT

Some parts of Go Confess may be viewed without an account.

An account may be required to:

  • file a confession;
  • cast a judgment;
  • maintain a Judicial or Offender Record;
  • submit a Penance Suggestion;
  • report content where authenticated reporting is required;
  • purchase a bribe;
  • mark a Penance Order as served; or
  • use other persistent community features.

You agree to provide an email address you control, protect access to your account, and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Public identity

Go Confess does not offer anonymous posting.

You choose a permitted public username. You may use a pseudonym, but Go Confess does not promise anonymity.

Your username, public record, titles, confessions, judgments, reactions, and other public participation may be visible to other users.

You may not impersonate another person or organization or use a username intended to mislead others about your identity or affiliation.

4. USER CONTENT

“User Content” includes confessions, usernames, Penance Suggestions, reactions, optional updates, profile information, and other material you submit through Go Confess.

You retain ownership of User Content that you own.

By submitting User Content for publication, you grant Go Confess a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and technically adapt that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and promote Go Confess.

For content you intentionally make public, this license includes displaying the content:

  • on GoConfess.lol and Go Confess mobile applications;
  • on public case and profile pages;
  • in feeds and discovery surfaces;
  • in Go Confess-generated sharing cards; and
  • in Go Confess's own social, editorial, or promotional materials.

Go Confess does not acquire ownership of your User Content merely because you submit it.

This license may continue where reasonably necessary for backups, legal obligations, fraud prevention, payment records, disputes, enforcement, or copies already lawfully shared outside the Service.

5. CONTENT RULES

Go Confess is for harmless everyday failures.

You must not submit content involving or promoting:

  • serious crimes;
  • violence or credible threats;
  • self-harm or suicide;
  • abuse or exploitation;
  • sexual exploitation;
  • hate or targeted degradation;
  • doxxing or private personal information;
  • serious allegations against identifiable people;
  • scams or fraud;
  • unlawful goods or services;
  • harassment;
  • content you do not have the right to publish; or
  • content where public judgment could reasonably create serious harm.

Do not publish another person's private phone number, home address, email address, financial information, medical information, passwords, or other sensitive information.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not unlawfully violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights, publicity rights, or other rights.

6. MODERATION

Go Confess may use automated systems, human review, or both to moderate content and activity.

Moderation may:

  • approve content;
  • reject content;
  • request a correction;
  • prevent publication;
  • restrict distribution;
  • remove content;
  • pause a case;
  • invalidate abusive activity;
  • investigate reports;
  • restrict features; or
  • suspend or terminate accounts.

Go Confess normally performs confession moderation before publication. A confession that passes the required moderation and filing checks may be filed without a filing fee.

Approval by our moderation systems does not mean that Go Confess endorses, verifies, or accepts legal responsibility for the content.

Moderation systems are not guaranteed to identify every violation.

7. FREE CONFESSION FILING

Go Confess does not charge a fee to submit or file a confession.

Filing remains subject to account, content, moderation, safety, technical, and eligibility requirements. A confession is not treated as publicly filed until Go Confess confirms that publication has succeeded.

Go Confess may reject, pause, restrict, or remove a confession under these Terms even though filing is free.

8. PUBLIC CASES

Once successfully filed, a confession becomes part of the Go Confess public record unless it is later removed, restricted, or otherwise made unavailable.

A public case may display information including:

  • case number;
  • username;
  • confession;
  • Department;
  • public status;
  • public title;
  • judgments and verdict;
  • reactions;
  • Penance Suggestions;
  • Penance Order;
  • verified bribe status and the verified amount and currency paid, where applicable; and
  • case history.

Do not file something you are unwilling to have displayed publicly.

9. EDITING AND WITHDRAWING A CONFESSION

You may edit or withdraw a filed confession before its first accepted judgment, where that option is available.

After the first accepted judgment, ordinary editing or withdrawal may no longer be available because other users have begun participating in the case.

This restriction does not remove privacy, safety, statutory, or other rights that applicable law gives you.

If you believe public content creates a privacy, safety, legal, or rights issue, use the reporting or support process.

10. REPORTING AND BLOCKING

Users may report public confessions, Penance Suggestions, accounts, and other reportable content or activity.

A report may result in moderation or administrative review.

Submitting a report does not automatically:

  • remove content;
  • reverse a judgment;
  • alter a verdict;
  • suspend another user; or
  • establish that a violation occurred.

Go Confess may pause, restrict, or remove content while investigating a report.

Abuse of the reporting system may itself result in restrictions.

Where available, blocking an account may reduce or prevent interactions or visibility between accounts. Blocking does not necessarily remove public content, erase prior participation, or prevent Go Confess from retaining information needed for safety and enforcement.

11. JUDGMENTS

Eligible users may judge a case by selecting:

PENANCE

or

FORGIVE

A user may cast only one accepted judgment on the same case, except where Go Confess expressly permits a judgment to be changed before finalization.

Users may judge multiple different cases.

Valid Judgment

A Valid Judgment is a PENANCE or FORGIVE judgment submitted by an eligible user and accepted by Go Confess under its participation rules.

Duplicate, automated, fraudulent, manipulated, coordinated, invalidated, or otherwise ineligible judgments do not count toward the required jury or verdict.

Go Confess may invalidate a judgment if it reasonably determines that the judgment does not meet these requirements.

Jury and deliberation requirements

Each case remains open for five calendar days (120 hours) after publication.

A binding jury verdict requires at least 12 Valid Judgments. Reaching 12 judgments does not close the case early. All Valid Judgments received before the deadline count toward the final outcome.

At the deadline, if the required jury was reached:

  • if FORGIVE has more Valid Judgments than PENANCE, the case is FORGIVEN;
  • if PENANCE has more Valid Judgments than FORGIVE, the case is SENTENCED; and
  • if FORGIVE and PENANCE are equal, the case follows the CASE DISMISSED process described below.

12. CASE DISMISSED

If at least 12 Valid Judgments have been recorded by the deadline and FORGIVE and PENANCE receive an equal number of judgments, the case closes as CASE DISMISSED (JURY DEADLOCK).

CASE DISMISSED

CASE DISMISSED is a separate outcome.

It is:

  • not FORGIVEN;
  • not SENTENCED; and
  • not TOO MINOR TO PROSECUTE.

The equal jury result may remain part of the public case record.

13. FIVE-CALENDAR-DAY JURY DEADLINE

A case may remain open for up to five calendar days while awaiting the required jury.

If fewer than 12 Valid Judgments have been recorded when the five-calendar-day period expires, the case closes as:

TOO MINOR TO PROSECUTE

TOO MINOR TO PROSECUTE means the required minimum of 12 Valid Judgments was not reached within five calendar days.

For TOO MINOR TO PROSECUTE, the case is neither FORGIVEN nor SENTENCED.

14. PENANCE SUGGESTIONS AND PENANCE ORDERS

Users may suggest lighthearted penances where that feature is available.

A Penance Suggestion must not require or encourage:

  • dangerous conduct;
  • illegal conduct;
  • violence;
  • sexual conduct;
  • serious humiliation or degradation;
  • harassment;
  • meaningful financial spending;
  • violation of another person's privacy; or
  • participation by another person without their consent.

Go Confess may reject, edit, remove, or decline to use a Penance Suggestion.

An assigned Penance Order is part of the Go Confess entertainment experience. It is not a legal order.

You are responsible for deciding whether you wish to perform it.

15. BRIBE PAYMENT TERMS

These Bribe Payment Terms form part of the Go Confess Terms & Conditions. You accept them separately immediately before submitting a bribe purchase.

Bribe the Internet is an optional post-sentence purchase available on certain SENTENCED cases.

The term “bribe” is the name of a fictional Go Confess entertainment feature. It is not a payment to a judge, juror, government official, or other user.

No user receives a financial benefit for voting PENANCE or FORGIVE.

15.1 Eligibility and choice

A bribe may be available only to the owner of a case that:

  • has a valid SENTENCED verdict;
  • has an assigned Penance Order;
  • has not already been recorded as BRIBED; and
  • has not already been recorded as SERVED.

Where the feature is available, you may choose to serve the assigned Penance Order or purchase a bribe.

You are not required to purchase a bribe.

15.2 Available amounts

Go Confess may offer several bribe tiers. The price and currency displayed by the applicable website, app store, or payment provider immediately before purchase control the transaction.

Prices may vary by platform, storefront, country, currency, exchange rate, or applicable tax.

Every available bribe tier has the same effect within Go Confess. Selecting a higher amount does not purchase greater influence, a different verdict, additional visibility, preferential moderation, a different Penance Order, or any other additional case benefit.

15.3 Payment providers and app stores

Bribe purchases may be processed through providers such as Apple, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another disclosed payment provider.

Purchases made through a mobile app may also be governed by the applicable app store's terms, billing rules, refund procedures, and privacy practices.

Go Confess does not intend to collect or store full payment-card numbers or card security codes when those details are collected directly by a payment provider or app store.

15.4 Separate transaction-specific acceptance

Immediately before submitting a bribe, Go Confess may require you to confirm the selected product or tier, displayed amount and currency, and the current version of these Bribe Payment Terms.

Go Confess may retain a record of that acceptance, including the user, case, product or tier, displayed amount and currency, terms version, and acceptance time.

Changing the selected tier or product may require a new acceptance.

15.5 When a bribe is complete

A checkout return, redirect, client-side message, or device state is not by itself proof of payment.

A bribe is complete only after Go Confess receives or obtains verified payment-provider or app-store evidence confirming the expected transaction.

Until verification is complete, the case may remain SENTENCED or display a temporary processing state.

15.6 Effect of a confirmed bribe

After successful payment verification, Go Confess may record the case as:

BRIBED

The case owner is then treated within the Go Confess entertainment experience as having paid to avoid serving the assigned Penance Order.

15.7 Public payment display

After successful verification, Go Confess may publicly display:

  • the BRIBED status;
  • the verified amount and currency paid; and
  • copy confirming that the case owner paid to avoid serving the assigned Penance Order.

For example:

BRIBED · US$10.00
Paid to avoid personal growth.

The displayed amount and currency are part of the public case record. Do not purchase a bribe if you do not want that payment information associated publicly with the case and its public username.

Go Confess will not intentionally display a bribe as paid without verified payment evidence.

15.8 What a bribe does not change

A bribe does not erase, reverse, or invalidate the original case history.

The following remain part of the case record:

  • the confession;
  • the original SENTENCED verdict;
  • the assigned Penance Order;
  • relevant public case history; and
  • prior judgments and reactions where applicable.

A bribe does not convert a SENTENCED verdict into FORGIVEN, ABSOLVED, innocent, or any equivalent outcome.

15.9 No deletion or purchased verdict

A bribe does not:

  • delete the confession or case;
  • remove the original SENTENCED verdict;
  • remove the historical Penance Order;
  • reverse previous judgments;
  • guarantee removal from public discovery, search, or case history;
  • purchase forgiveness from other users; or
  • purchase or influence a jury result.

15.10 Failed, cancelled, or unverified purchases

If a bribe purchase fails, is cancelled, or cannot be verified:

  • the case remains SENTENCED;
  • the Penance Order remains in effect within the Go Confess experience;
  • the case is not marked BRIBED; and
  • you may be allowed to try again.

Go Confess does not treat an unsuccessful or unverified transaction as completed.

15.11 Duplicate-charge protection

Go Confess uses payment controls intended to prevent duplicate processing.

Retries, repeated callbacks, duplicate webhooks, page refreshes, or repeated success notifications must not create multiple completed bribes for the same case.

If you believe you were charged more than once, contact support@goconfess.lol.

15.12 Refunds, reversals, and corrections

A correctly processed bribe is non-refundable by default once it has been successfully applied to the case, except where applicable law, an app store, a payment provider, or these Terms require or permit a refund or correction.

A refund or correction may be appropriate for:

  • a duplicate charge;
  • an unauthorized payment;
  • an incorrect amount caused by a technical or processing error;
  • payment processed without the corresponding bribe being validly applied;
  • another Go Confess payment-processing error; or
  • circumstances required by applicable law, an app store, or a payment provider.

For purchases made through an app store, refund requests may need to be submitted to and decided by that app store.

A refund, chargeback, revocation, or other payment reversal does not change the original SENTENCED verdict. Go Confess may correct its internal transaction records and remove or correct a BRIBED indicator where reasonably necessary, without creating a separate public reversal status.

15.13 Provider and bank timing

App stores, payment providers, card networks, and banks may display transactions differently or take additional time to show a final status.

Go Confess relies on verified provider information when determining whether a bribe has been completed, refunded, revoked, disputed, or otherwise corrected.

15.14 Availability

Go Confess may disable or limit bribe purchases where payment verification, reconciliation, store availability, legal compliance, or safe processing is unavailable.

An unavailable or interrupted bribe purchase does not alter the SENTENCED verdict or Penance Order.

15.15 Fictional terminology and effect of a Bribe

“BRIBE THE INTERNET,” “Bribe,” “SENTENCED,” “jury,” “verdict,” “Penance Order,” and related courtroom terminology are fictional, humorous labels used as part of Go Confess's entertainment experience.

A Bribe is an optional, fixed-price, one-time digital purchase available only to the owner of a case after the case receives a SENTENCED verdict and a Penance Order. A successfully verified Bribe allows the case owner to avoid serving that Penance Order. The public case record may display the BRIBED status and the verified amount paid. The original confession, SENTENCED verdict, and Penance Order remain part of the case record.

A Bribe does not:

  • influence or purchase a jury vote or verdict;
  • change, reverse, erase, conceal, or remove the original verdict;
  • pay, reward, or transfer money to jurors, moderators, other users, public officials, or any other third party;
  • provide the purchaser or any other person with cash, property, a prize, winnings, or an opportunity to receive something of monetary value;
  • constitute an entry fee, wager, stake, bet, sweepstakes entry, or participation in a game of chance; or
  • affect the judgment of any future case.

Amounts paid for a Bribe are payments to Go Confess for the digital feature described above, subject to applicable taxes, platform fees, payment-provider terms, refunds, corrections, and non-waivable legal rights.

16. PAYMENT AND TRANSACTION RECORDS

Go Confess may use third-party providers and app stores to process, verify, reconcile, refund, and support bribe purchases.

Payment processing may also be subject to the applicable provider's terms and privacy practices.

Go Confess may retain transaction references, product identifiers, store information, amounts, currency, statuses, timestamps, acceptance records, dispute information, and related records needed for:

  • verification;
  • support;
  • reconciliation;
  • fraud prevention;
  • accounting;
  • tax administration; and
  • legal compliance.

17. NO FINANCIAL REWARD FOR JUDGING

Judging a case is community participation in the Go Confess entertainment experience.

Judges do not receive:

  • a bribe payment;
  • a percentage of Go Confess revenue; or
  • any other monetary reward based on whether PENANCE or FORGIVE wins.

A bribe does not create a wager or financial transaction between the case owner and the people judging the case.

18. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You may not:

  • manipulate or attempt to manipulate judgments;
  • cast or attempt to cast multiple judgments on the same case through multiple accounts;
  • create or use accounts to evade the one-judgment-per-user rule;
  • buy, sell, solicit, exchange, or coordinate fake or manipulated judgments;
  • use bots, scripts, automated accounts, or other automated means to cast or influence judgments or other community participation;
  • interfere with another user's account;
  • evade account, moderation, or participation restrictions;
  • submit fraudulent payments;
  • misuse refunds, payment disputes, or chargebacks;
  • attack or intentionally disrupt the Service;
  • distribute malware;
  • impersonate another person;
  • harass other users;
  • use Go Confess to organize unlawful conduct; or
  • interfere with moderation, payment, security, or verdict systems.

Legitimate high participation is permitted. There is no general prohibition against judging many different cases.

19. SUSPENSION, TERMINATION, AND ACCOUNT DELETION

Go Confess may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account or feature where we reasonably believe it is necessary because of:

  • violation of these Terms;
  • illegal conduct;
  • serious safety concerns;
  • payment fraud;
  • manipulated judgments;
  • security attacks;
  • repeated prohibited content; or
  • misuse of the Service.

Where reasonable, Go Confess may use a narrower restriction rather than suspending the entire account.

You may stop using Go Confess at any time. Where account creation is available, Go Confess will provide a method to initiate account deletion through the Service or as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.

Account deletion does not necessarily require deletion of records we must or reasonably need to retain for payment processing, disputes, security, fraud prevention, enforcement, accounting, tax, or legal obligations.

20. GO CONFESS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Except for User Content, Go Confess and its licensors own the Service and its associated software, branding, designs, graphics, text, logos, fictional Department identity, and other intellectual property.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of that intellectual property to you.

Ordinary use of sharing functionality provided by Go Confess is permitted.

You may not use Go Confess branding in a manner that falsely suggests endorsement, sponsorship, employment, or official affiliation.

21. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Go Confess may rely on third-party providers for services such as:

  • hosting;
  • authentication;
  • payments and purchase verification;
  • email;
  • analytics;
  • automated moderation;
  • transcription; and
  • infrastructure.

Third-party services may experience outages, delays, errors, or changes outside Go Confess's control.

22. MOBILE APPLICATIONS AND APP STORES

If you download or use Go Confess through an app store, your use is also subject to that app store's applicable terms and usage rules.

Unless applicable law or mandatory app-store rules provide otherwise:

  • 1048035 B.C. LTD., not the app store, is responsible for operating and supporting Go Confess;
  • the app store is not responsible for Go Confess content, moderation, support, or non-store transactions;
  • in-app purchases, billing, cancellations, and refunds may be administered by the app store; and
  • conflicts between these Terms and mandatory app-store terms will be resolved in favour of the mandatory app-store terms to the extent required.

Your mobile carrier or Internet provider may charge data or connectivity fees.

23. SERVICE AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES

Go Confess may add, change, test, pause, restrict, or discontinue features.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Go Confess may temporarily pause publication, voting, payments, verdict processing, or other functionality when reasonably necessary for:

  • maintenance;
  • moderation;
  • security;
  • fraud prevention;
  • payment integrity;
  • legal compliance; or
  • technical recovery.

Go Confess will not intentionally represent a payment, filing, judgment, verdict, or other server-dependent state as successfully completed when the required verification has not occurred.

24. NO WARRANTIES

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Go Confess is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted availability;
  • that every confession will be approved;
  • a particular number of judgments;
  • a particular jury outcome;
  • that other users will agree with you;
  • that every prohibited item will be detected;
  • that every user is who they claim to be; or
  • that the Service will meet every user's expectations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

25. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 1048035 B.C. LTD., its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to use of Go Confess.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of:

(a) the amount you paid directly to Go Confess during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or

(b) USD $100.

These limitations do not apply where applicable law prohibits them.

26. INDEMNITY

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1048035 B.C. LTD., its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from claims arising from:

  • User Content you submitted;
  • your unlawful use of Go Confess;
  • your infringement of another person's rights; or
  • your material violation of these Terms.

This section applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

27. PRIVACY

Our collection and use of personal information are governed by the Go Confess Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms.

28. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

You agree that Go Confess may provide Service-related communications electronically, including through the Service or by email.

These communications may include:

  • account notices;
  • security notices;
  • payment and receipt information;
  • verdict notifications;
  • Penance Order notifications;
  • moderation notices; and
  • policy updates.

Marketing communications, if used, will be subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.

29. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Go Confess may update these Terms as the Service changes.

Where required by law, we will provide notice of material changes.

The current Terms will state their effective date.

Changes to these Terms do not retroactively rewrite a properly completed payment or finalized case outcome merely because the Terms later change.

30. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction that applicable consumer law does not permit you to waive, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and you and 1048035 B.C. LTD. submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Nothing in these Terms removes legal rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit a user to waive.
